8 months old!

I know I say this every month, but I really can't believe Lando is 8 months old. That just seems ridiculous. It seems like everyday he is doing something new and showing us a little more of his personality. When he was born we thought he was the most like Mike in personality and for the most part he is. Landon is very calm and relaxed and super chill but more and more every day he is showing some points of possibly having my personality. Outgoing, wanting to be around people all the time, loving to play with toys and other kids...He's seriously just so much fun. Below is a list of a few new things.

-He has a 17" head (90th percentile), 26 3/4" long (25th percentile, I don't think he'll be a basketball player), and he's approx. 19 or 20 lbs (we don't have a scale but that's what his doctor predicts he is)

-He can stand up on his own and demonstrated this one night when Mike was giving him a bath and all of sudden Landon grabbed the edge of the tub and stood up

-He is SO close to crawling. Literally any day now. He gets to a crawling position from the sitting position and he kind of rocks back and forth. Just doesn't quite get that he has to be the one to move his legs

-He loves music and has discovered how to "bounce with the beat" (we may have a musical genius on our hands!)

-He has discovered clapping and thinks its the best thing since sliced bread

-He now has 6 teeth, the 4 on top all came in at once so that week wasn't very fun, but now they are in and no more tears

-He hasn't yet, but his pediatrician has given him the go ahead to eat "squishy" foods (i.e. bananas, veggies, etc.)

-He fully understands the sign language for "milk" and "eat" and is not afraid to show you that he wants it

-He LOVES baby einstein or any videos that are specifically for babies

-He likes to hear himself talk and just in the past couple days will sit and talk as loud as he can for several minutes straight

Finally Caught on Tape

7 months old!

That's right...our boy is 7 months old today! We keep looking at him and thinking he's been with us forever and it's only been a short seven months. He is more of a joy everyday and the more he interacts with us, the more we know that God hand-picked this baby for us. He is doing so many new things every day that it's hard to keep track of. But I'll try and list as many as I can think of.

-He is 26.5 inches long and about 18.5 pounds

-He sits up completely on his own and rarely falls...unless he wants to

-He rolls over front-to-back and back-to-front

-He finally has hair growing into his bald spot on the back of his head

-He eats 4 kinds of fruits and 4 kinds of vegetables (bananas and sweet potatoes are his favs)

-He reaches for people with both arms when he wants them

-He still prefers to be naked over wearing any clothes at all

-He hasn't mastered a sippy cup but loves to drink out of mami and papi's glasses

-He loves to play peek a boo

-He LOVES baby einstein movies and is totally enthralled when other babies come on

-He's beginning to wave if you wave bye bye to him, its more of a hand convulsion

-He steals a drink of coke every now and then and absolutely loves it (I know, I'm an awful mother)

-He has about 6 teeth bumps on his top gums that look like they should come in any time, but who knows

-He sleeps between 10-12 hours a night....straight through (Praise JESUS!) but takes very little naps

-He's beginning to go from the sitting position to on all fours...watch out, crawling is coming soon, UGH!

-His favorite thing in the whole wide world is staring at himself in a mirror

6 months old!

Well, our little Lando is 6 months old today. He is 25 1/2 inches long and 17 lbs 13 oz. Each month it's just as hard to believe as the last that our little guy is getting older. He is doing so many new things. Eating cereal and veggies, learning to drink from a sippy cup, sitting up on his own. It's just crazy how different he is from month to month. He is such a joy and we can't imagine our life without him.

So it's been a while since we have posted but we've been busy little bees! Rather than write a whole bunch of stuff, here are pics to describe the last few weeks.

5 months old

Hard to believe it, but Lando is 5 months old already! He has started eating rice cereal and he absolutely LOVES it! I think he thinks he's super big by eating with a big boy spoon. I can't wait to start him on veggies in a month or so, so that I can get some super messy pictures of food all over his face. He's 18 pounds and 26 inches long. Kinda crazy! As you can tell by his picture, he is a little chunk! He is so much more fun at every different stage, and this month is no different! He is such a happy baby and he just laughs all the time. The only time he cries is if he's hungry or super tired. Oh yeah, and when his teeth are bothering him. That's right, he has two teeth. He got them about 2 1/2 weeks ago and it looks like he's got about 2-4 more getting ready to come in. Mike and I got teeth very early too, so it didn't really come as a surprise to us.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

We're in Wisconsin and it is COOLLLDDD here. We went to baby Gap and got him an adorable jacket to match his hat and glove set from Walmart and just had to take some outdoor pictures. We thought he was cute in onesies in the Dominican but he is WAY cuter in winter clothes in the states! Don't get any ideas, we're not going to leave the home we love for the sake of fashion!
